The bracelet is made using the rattan vine, usually found strangling young trees as they struggle to grow. The River People, under the MESCOT project — Model Ecologically Sustainable Community Tourism — are restoring their forests by de-vining these trees as well as planting new trees. Each rattan vine bracelet you buy will help de-vine a tree or plant a new tree.
