Steven Kwek graduated with a Bachelor degree in business marketing from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Australia. Upon his return to Malaysia he first worked in the logistic industry as a customer service with TNT International at its Johor Bahru office. His last posting with TNT was in the Kota Kinabalu branch as Territory Manager. In 2002, Steven joined Widegrowth Marine Products Sdn Bhd which is a seafood processing company in Sandakan as a Management Trainee. Currently he heads the company’s Administration and Finance department. He is also the facilitator for the company’s industrial program. He represents the company on events related to sustainable seafood stock both locally and internationally. Steven is a committee member with various association in Sabah viz., the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Sandakan; the Federation of Sabah Industries and the Sabah United Fisheries and Fishing Boat Association. Mr Kwek’s areas of interest include sustainability and development of the company’s business and succession planning in order to always have good people in the talent pipeline.
